About

The play is set on the evening of 22nd June 1940 in the country home of Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas in the French Alps. In less than 24 hrs France will fall to Germany.

This witty, fictionalised drama brings together iconic writers - including Dorothy Parker and Agatha Christie – to drink, clash and face down the impending reality of Nazi occupation. It’s a masterclass in sharp dialogue, soaring egos and political urgency.

Written by Steven Carl Casland
Directed by Debbie Hibberd
