November 2021

Despite our best wishes, it is clear that the ongoing pandemic means that we will not be able to stage live productions at Rugby Theatre, or offsite contact facing work, before March 2022.

This is not a decision that has been taken lightly. We have worked with guidance from RBC & WCC, setting out compliance requirements under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, The Health Protection [Coronavirus, Restrictions] Regulations 2020 and other legislation relating to food safety and hygiene. We have confirmed to the authorities that RT is not currently engaged in any public facing activities.

We will make productive use of this time and complete a plan of work to our premises so that when we can welcome audiences through our doors, we will be in the best position to bring us all back together with live Theatre and Cinema. We will continue to evolve ways to keep members and audiences engaged during this time, please see our online audio plays - RT On Air.

We are very proud of how our members and the local community have continued to stand by us and thank everyone for their continued support.

Please Stay Safe.

Update on RT Vouchers - extended until 2022

Hello Patrons, Members and Friends of Rugby Theatre!

We hope you are all keeping safe and well as we continue to work our way through an extraordinary period in our history, and hope that you are missing us as much as we are missing you!

As you know Rugby Theatre remains closed at this time, and until we are able to give any further information regarding our planned and future productions please be assured that we are doing lots of work, and planning, behind the scenes for when we can.

In the meantime, please be advised of the following important announcement from our Rugby Theatre board of trustees:

"For all vouchers expiring on or after 1 March 2020, Rugby Theatre has extended the expiry date to 2022.
Further extensions may be made to enable you to use your vouchers when we can reopen.
We will keep you up-to-date as things progress.
Until we can, let’s all look forward to the day we can be back soon!”
