About

A British romantic comedy directed by Danny Boyle and written by Richard Curtis, based on an original screenplay by Jack Barth and Mackenzie Crook. Yesterday stars Himesh Patel as a struggling musician who, after an accident, finds himself the only person who remembers the Beatles; he becomes famous after taking credit for writing and performing their songs.

The film also features Lily James as Himesh's childhood friend and love interest, Kate McKinnon as his manager, and Ed Sheeran as a fictionalised version of himself.
