About

Tony Wendice has married Margot for her money and now plans to murder her for the same reason. He arranges what he believes to be the perfect crime. He blackmails a scoundrel he used to know into strangling her for a fee of one thousand pounds, and arranges a brilliant alibi for himself.

Dial M for Murder is a classic among plays about homicide, a masterpiece of construction and intricate plotting involving an ingenious plan by a man to have his wife killed, and the subsequent cat-and-mouse game he plays with a police investigator.

A consistently delightful and ingratiating comedy about a murder-for-hire gone wrong.

This is the play is that went on to inspire the 1952 film directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

Rugby Theatre at its best again in producing entertainment that is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat.
