About

The winner of six Tony Awards including Best Musical, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE is based on the 1967 Academy Award-winning film, taking you back to the height of the Jazz Age in New York City, when ‘moderns’ including a flapper named Millie Dillmount were bobbing their hair, raising their hemlines, entering the workforce and rewriting the rules of love.

Students must be available every day of the project. There is a fee of £80 to take part.

Requirements

Audition timings will be as follows:

10 - 13 years olds - 1.30pm
14 - 17 year olds - 3.30pm
18 - 21 year olds - 5.30pm
Technical Students ( over 14 years of age) - 3.00pm

Recalls will be Sunday 26 March - 11.00am

Principal roles:

Millie Dillmount - A young modern woman from Kansas looking to marry for wealth rather than love
Jimmy Smith - An attractive young paperclip salesman
Miss Dorothy Brown - A new actress from California. Millie’s best friend
Mrs Meers - Evil owner of the Hotel Priscilla. She is a former actress and leader of a white slavery ring in the Orient
Tervor Graydon III - Sincered Trust Insurance Co head
Muzzy Van Hossmere - Singer and bon vivant stepmother of Jimmy and Dorothy
Ching Ho - Chinese henchman. Falls in love with Miss Dorothy
Bun Foo - Chinese henchman focused more on the task at hand
Miss Peg Flannery Curmudgeonly - Head stenographer at Sincere Trust
