When "has been" American action hero Jefferson Steel arrives in Stratford to play Lear, he finds it's not the home of the Bard and the actors aren't quite the Branagh or Dench he was expecting ...

JEFFERSON STEEL ONLY - This character is the pivotal role in this play and therefore I am looking to audition and cast this part first.
Steele has a monstrous ego and is extremely vain, which is what drives his insecurity.

I am looking for a male who can play a believable “American action hero has been”. Playing age 50s. Amercian accent required.

An incredible opportunity and challenging role for someone to showcase their talent for comedy and Shakespeare.
